Happy Thanksgiving from your pal and mine, William Burroughs : )

Because we live in a condition of ubiquitous music and media, and near infinite technological memory, it is much easier for local cultures to find an audience that resonates with their music, whether local or globally. At the same time the acceleration and saturation leads to things becoming outmoded, or out of fashion before they’ve even happened. That’s a pretty complicated situation. Hype becomes autonomous from its object and runs away with itself.

No front hugs for the Saved.

Arguably the next best thing to having weezy actually perform at your birthday party. Cute.

I miss the True Vine a lot right now.

Peter Blasser has just finished a new instrument which is a much smaller sidrassi organ & it sounds amazing. It has two chaos wheels & two pitch wheels on the sides. This is different to the original, which has one of each located on the top. This means that you can manipulate the wheels on the side while playing the top with your thumbs. The sound is more full bodied & the touch sensitivity is higher than the previous sidrassi. He made three prototypes & we have one of them here for sale & hooked up so you can try it out. It’s hooked into a little stereo system which you will see on a glass case to the right when you walk in the door. The prototypes are $595 & at some point in the future when the right manufacturer is discovered to make the circuit boards, the price will be lower.

Holy shit. I guess I’m super late on this one (video upped in June?) but this track absolutely kills. the seesaw beat(s), the orchestra from hell, the spot-on syncopation, the immaculate production.. man. Richgirl is the future.

Also, the description to the video is so perfect:

this video is my nuber one hot video i love it jus t as much as i love ti dead and gone fet jt

I love pop music.

EDIT: A quick Google search shows that this was produced by the same dude responsible for Amerie’s career and Beyoncé’s one good album. No fucking wonder.

I love Raymod Scott and I love harmonicas and I love bellboys
